We started Coastal Decorative Films because Florida homes and businesses deserve better than what most window tint shops offer. Walk into a typical tint place and ask about your bathroom shower glass or your front door sidelights, and you'll usually get a one-size-fits-all answer — whatever solar film they happen to keep in stock. That's not what we do.
Decorative and architectural film is a different craft. It's about pattern, opacity, light diffusion, and precision cutting around mullions, hardware, and curved glass. A frosted shower enclosure, a reeded glass cabinet insert, a custom-printed storefront logo — these aren't side jobs for us. They're the work. Through our manufacturer, Custom Glass Window Films, we offer virtually limitless patterns and opacities, and we install them with the kind of care that comes from actually caring how the finished glass looks — not just whether the film is stuck to it.
Built Around Design, Not Just Heat Rejection
We're based in Dunedin and work across the whole Tampa Bay area — Clearwater, Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor, Largo, St. Petersburg, Tampa, Oldsmar, Tarpon Springs, and everywhere in between. Our owner, Steven Brodersen, started this company because he saw a gap: homeowners who wanted their glass to look intentional and designed, not just tinted. A lot of companies can reject heat. Not as many can make a bathroom window look like it belongs in a magazine.
We also believe the buying experience should match the product. That's why we built our Design Studio. Instead of staring at sample swatches and trying to imagine the finished result, you can design a custom pattern, adjust opacity, and compare options side by side. It's the same technology we use internally to mock up commercial projects, and we made it available to every homeowner who visits our site. We think it's the honest way to sell film: you see it first, then you decide.
Our Promise to You
We're licensed and insured, we use premium film brands with manufacturer warranties, and we stand behind our installation work. We won't talk you into a film you don't need, and we won't disappear after the install. If something isn't right, we come back and fix it.
